The Banality of Evil

The Banality of Evil

Over a year ago I suggested that the collapse of our immigration system could not have happened without the active participation and knowledge of local and state politicians. I cited the example of the Kansas City MO area which experienced a boom in US immigration workers handling the DACA kids and now likely the UAC. You would be surprised at the people and strange bedfellows feeding off the collapse of the system. For instance, how many of you know that Virginia houses many of the records of immigrants and visitors which are no longer housed at the National Records Center in Lee’s Summit MO ? Did you know that Virginia is the place to locate for the booming Immigration Law industry? Did you know that USIS the company which has botched thousands, thousands of government employee background checks, including Edward Snowden and the Navy Yard Shooter, has been awarded a contract by USCIS? Did you know that the Director of the National Benefits Center has deep connections to our local metro area and the contractor and legal community which has made a fortune from many Americans’ misfortune in dealing with the negative consequences of a chaotic and corrupt immigration system? Did you know that Director, who also headed up the National Record Center at one time, has been the subject of whistleblower reports of gross misconduct, corrupt hiring practices, destruction of public records and manufacturing of false records? Did you know the President recently recognized and rewarded the Director for his service? Did you know Congressional investigators are afraid to investigate or bring to light the stellar record of the Director because they are afraid of what they have already exposed or will expose in regard to classified government use of the immigration system? The government use of which is so botched and compromised that key government agencies no longer know whether they are running targets  or are being run by targets?

Now that the Administration and other “pro-reform ” immigration advocates like to speak of the necessity of fixing our “broken immigration system,” a system many of them or their political allies have made a fortune and/or a career in breaking, see the new head of the USCIS, (or for that matter the former Director who is now No.2 at DHS) it might be worth a little time focusing on the losers in the collapse of our immigration system.

The losers? First up, the Youth For Tomorrow.

Gone are the summer days when you could just send your kids outside in bathing suits when it rained. As a parent it so hard to compete with the Dems and their Federal Treasury these days.

“The record flood of Central American children crossing the U.S. border is stretching funds and setting off improvisation at public schools.

While politicians spend the summer fighting over how to turn back the tide, school leaders across the country are struggling to absorb a new student population the size of Newark, New Jersey. More than 40,000 children, many of them fresh from violent, harrowing journeys, have been released since October to stateside relatives as courts process their cases.

“These kids were homesick and heartbroken,” said Robin Hamby, a family specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools in suburban Washington, which began feeling the surge almost as soon as it began three years ago.

Her Virginia district employs more teachers who work with non-English speakers than ever, and wrote a curriculum to reunite children and parents, many of whom haven’t seen one another in years. Houston is increasing training and translation. Los Angeles nurses are working overtime to screen for emotional trauma created on the journey north.”

If only the offending teen had played on a State Champion. There is so much of this going on at Osbourn and in the schools these days; not just in Manassas. Did the Manassas Police speak with Manassas City school officials about this first? We as citizens and parents have been asked to work with the school system and give it a chance. This is how we are rewarded for holding our anger and complaints in check, while new management attempts to fix our problems? Can’t the city do a better job of warning the students of what might happen if they engage in this kind of conduct without another Bobbit moment? I understand why a defense lawyer would attempt to embarrass the city concerning the facts of this case, what I don’t understand is why local Law Enforcement would expose the city to ridicule by its handling of such a story.

Update from City Police:

Juvenile Sexting Case

On January 23, 2014 Manassas City Police was contacted by a parent of a 15 YOA female juvenile who was sent pornographic videos by a 17 YOA male suspect after repeatedly being told to stop.  Upon further investigating the incident charges of manufacturing and distributing child pornography were brought against the 17 YOA male suspect on January 28, 2014 after consultation with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.  The matter was set for trial on June 4th 2014 where charges were nolle prosqui by a Prince William County Assistant Commonwealth Attorney.

The circumstances on the decision to dismiss charges and bring forward new charges cannot be released at this time due to this incident being an active investigation and involving juveniles.  New charges of manufacturing and distributing child pornography have been brought forward and a court date is pending.

It is not the policy of the Manassas City Police or the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office to authorize invasive search procedures of suspects in cases of this nature and no such procedures have been conducted in this case.  Beyond that, neither the Police Department nor the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office discusses evidentiary matters prior to court hearings.
